Lens Distortion
The Aurelon PhotoPro LensTools plug-in is designed for correction of image distortions that appear when images are captured under specific conditions that a camera lens can't handle correctly. All professional tools for common lens corrections are combined in a very straightforward and easy to use interface.

Lens Distortion
Barrel distortion is a lens effect which causes images to be spherised or "inflated". Barrel distortion is associated with wide angle lenses and typically occurs at the wide end of a zoom lens. Pincushion distortion is a lens effect which causes images to be pinched at their center. Pincushion distortion is associated with tele lenses and typically occurs at the tele end of a zoom lens. The use of converters often amplifies the effect. It is most visible in images with perfectly straight lines, especially when they are close to the edge of the image frame. With the Lens Distortion option in the Aurelon LensTools it's possible to fix both pincushion as well as barrel distortion. Included with this option is correction of chromatic aberration. Chromatic aberration takes place in the optics because light rays with different color (with different wavelength) are dispersed by the lens elements. This causes the three different color planes of the image to have different sharpness, and also causes the mostly purple and green color fringes in the corner of the image.

Perspective
Perspective distortion transfers rectangular objects to slanted items in an image. Most common example is in architectural photography where the camera base is at a low angle from the building with the object towering above the photographer. The perspective distortion introduced with shooting an image at such location can be fixed using the perspective tool. Although it's possible to adjust the orientation and focal length quite easily, it's always a trade off because the image will become smaller than the original due to cropping afterwards.

Squeeze
Stretching at the edges of an image can be the result of using a wide angle lens to capture a group of objects in a line, such as a photo displaying a large group of people. The distortion makes the objects at the edge of the image frame to become larger than the rest of the objects. The squeeze option is used to squeeze them back into proportions. The Squeeze Component is complementary to the lens and perspective distortion filters.

Vignette
Vignetting is the reduction of light transmission towards the edges of an image, particularly when using lenses of short focal length at wide aperture. This light falloff at the corners of an image can be corrected with the Vignette Component. Introducing the vignetting effect to an image in order to get that pinhole camera effect is also possible.

Lens Filter
Photography is capturing the color of light and some settings need color conversion or color balancing lens filters to correct a shift in color temperature. Commonly used are the blue cooling filters and the amber warming filters. The Lens Filter Component includes the standard Kodak Wratten based filters that increase or decrease the color temperature. Also included is the option to apply custom color filters and set the density of such filters with or without the preservation of luminosity. Aurelon has added some pre-defined, common used color filters as well as a HSB slider for fast custom color changes.
