| Breakthrough in Photo Restoration Software Technology Using revolutionary technology, Focus Magic corrects both out-of-focus blur and motion blur in photographs. It works both as a Windows stand-alone program and as a Photoshop plug-in for Windows or the Mac. Focus Magic works as a plug-in for Photoshop (including Photoshop Elements and LE), Paint Shop Pro, PhotoImpact, ACD's FotoCanvas, Corel's PhotoPaint (part of CorelDRAW Graphics Suite) and other image editing programs. Version 3 has been released for Windows and the Mac. Version 3 now has dedicated algorithms to handle motion blur and runs about 4 times faster - more. If you have already purchased version 1 or 2 of Focus Magic then you can upgrade to version 3 for free. Why Focus Magic Whether you scan, shoot, print or develop a photo, it gets a little more blurred at each stage. Focus Magic has forensic strength technology to recover detail that is not visible to the naked eye. It is invaluable to publishing and advertising companies who need the photographs in their magazines or newspapers to be sharp. It is a must for museum and archival companies to help them get the most detail out of those old photographs. Forensic and law enforcement agencies use Focus Magic to recover detail that is not visible to the naked eye. Focus Magic is widely used by professional photographers and home users to re-focus photographs of high or sentimental value. Focus Magic recovers an amazing amount of detail. For example, motor vehicle license plates which are unreadable with the naked eye can be read after focusing them with Focus Magic. Comparison with Unsharp Mask Focus Magic works very differently to Unsharp Mask. Where Unsharp Mask (or Sharpen) filters increase the contrast at the edges of an image, Focus Magic reverses the formula by which an image got blurred. This allows detail to be recovered, where with Unsharp Mask no detail can be recovered. Unsharp Mask can sharpen images that are only slightly blurred, but does make images look more grainy. It cannot successfully correct the range of blur widths that Focus Magic can. Unsharp Mask cannot correct motion blur. |
