| Asiva Correct+Apply Color offers the same control and natural effects Sharpen+Soften gives. With the Asiva patented technology, this plug-in offers two very highly accurate ways to change the color in your images. This product is not only great for simply changing items (catalog items, flowers, etc.) from one color to another, it also has a unique ability to change skin tones and make-up on faces. * All 16-bit per component processing gives you 256 times the bandwidth and precision of 8-bit. * Correct or Apply Color precisely, without time-consuming masks. * Asiva's Correct+Apply Color plug-in utilizes adjustable maps (curves) on the Hue, Saturation and Luminance components to define the source colors to be affected. These maps also allow for filter roll-offs so all effects appears completely natural. * Built-in Color Sampler Tool allows for accurate sampling of the colors in the image that correction or application of color is to occur. * Save and load presets for use with other images. * A simple interface and a thorough manual make for a sensible learning curve. Theory of Operation * Define the source colors you wish to operate on using the built in Hue, Saturation and Luminance (HSV) curves or maps. Sampling the colors in the area you wish to affect with the built in Color Sampler Tool is a quick way of selecting these values. Adjusting the curves in the maps allows you to include or exclude certain H or S or V (Luminance) values affected. Use the color picker to define the target color that the source is to be corrected or applied to. * The slope of the curves will define how the filter is transitioned. A near vertical line on your Map will create defined boundaries between where the filter is applied and is not, and a gently sloped curve on the Map will make the boundaries less defined or ‘feathered’. * Since there are three maps (Hue, Saturation and Luminance) to work with, you will be able to 'feather' those boundaries based on their Hue, Saturation or Luminance value differences. Asiva's curves are so precise that tedious masking prior to application of the filters are often not necessary. The Correct or Apply Color filter may also be applied to your Photoshop selections. What does Correct+Apply Color mean? * Correct Color is similar to what is commonly referred to as "Replace Color" but with some very fundamental differences. Asiva's Correct Color algorithms take into consideration a pixel's original Saturation and Luminance values before mapping in the new color. Combined with the user adjustable HSV maps and "fuzziness" controls for Saturation and Luminance, very natural looking results are easily attainable. * Apply Color is a very easy way to introduce any user-defined color into any part of the image based on Hue, Saturation and Luminance values. This allows the user to pre-define how much color is applied based on color component properties. This filter is particularly useful when a simple paint operation cannot produce natural-looking results. Common applications of this filter include: applying 'digital make-up' for portraits, colorizing black and white images, false color imaging for forensic and surveillance imaging, and biomedical florescent microscopy imaging. |
